Delhi, New Delhi:The complete schedule for the forthcoming Women's T20 World Cup 2026, which will be held in England from June 12 to July 5, was released by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday. Following the conclusion of the T20 World Cup qualifier in Nepal last month, the schedule was released last year, but all 12 teams have now been confirmed, along with the complete schedule.
After being placed in Group A along with South Africa, Australia, Pakistan, and India, Bangladesh and the Netherlands have now joined them from the qualifiers. In the meantime, qualifying teams Ireland and Scotland join the West Indies, England, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka in Group B.
India and Pakistan will play each other in the first week of the tournament, while England and Sri Lanka will kick it off.In the meantime, on June 12 at Edgbaston, hosts England will play Sri Lanka in the tournament's opening match. India will play Pakistan on Sunday, June 14, at Edgbaston, while Australia and South Africa will begin the other group on June 13 at the Old Trafford. The Oval will host the two semifinals on June 30 and July 2, and the Lord's Cricket Ground will host the final on July 5.
The Netherlands' first appearance and the first England-Scotland match on English soilWith a team that includes exciting talent like Yorkshire's Sterre Kallis, who will compete against elite teams, the Netherlands is scheduled to make their debut at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup. They will play tough group stage matches, such as Australia at the Hampshire Bowl on June 20 and India at Headingley on June 17.
On June 20, England will play Scotland at Headingley in a historic match. This will be the first time the two nations have faced each other in a women's or men's World Cup on English soil, and the highly anticipated group-stage match is sure to draw sizable crowds.
