LucknowIn the next Indian Premier League season, Arjun Tendulkar will embark on a new phase of his cricket career with the Lucknow Super Giants. He was acquired by the team from the five-time champion Mumbai Indians, where the all-rounder had few opportunities. Before the lucrative league, he joined the LSG camp, and his chat with captain Rishabh Pant about their individual bat weights went viral.
In the video, it can be seen that Pant is taken aback by the weight of Arjun's bat. Arjun also discloses that his legendary father used a heavier bat during his illustrious career. Pant also questioned Arjun about the benefits of using a heavier bat, as was to be expected.
"1220(gms)," replied Arjun. Papa toh 1310-1315 use karte. Touch karo toh jaati hai. "Main toh 1200 se halka toh main jaata nahi hoon," Arjun remarked to Pant. The LSG captain is also heard in the video telling Arjun Tendulkar that he can always rely on him during the IPL season and that he can get in touch with him if he needs anything or runs into any problems. In an effort to help Arjun feel at ease in the new team structure and setting, Pant also made this endearing gesture.
